Community of ASEAN Studies (CAS) is an institutions which scientifically focuses on researching and analyzing the dynamic cooperation of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Vision

Striving for a research institution on ASEAN in and positively contributing in shaping comprehensive ASEAN community.

Mission

• Analyzing the developing phenomena in ASEAN regional cooperation.
• Contributing ideas in scientific perspectives in overcoming international problems especially those related to ASEAN ones.
• Sharing constructive thoughts needed by decision makers' (Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia/DEPLU) policies toward ASEAN cooperation.
• Introduction ASEAN modern visions and missions to grass-root (community) in order to evolve community's owenership on ASEAN.

Departments
Center for ASEAN Studies does not only aim to yield academic analysis on ASEAN but also socialize ASEAN directly to its community. In establishing an integrated and applicable institutions, CAS structurally supported by two departments namely Research Department and Community Service Department.

Research Department

• Conducting research intensively on ASEAN porblems and developments in economy, social, culture, politics and security, and ASEAN structural organization.
• Sharing analytical thoughts to Goverment of Indonesia (DEPLU) to obtain solutions on ASEAN problems.
  

Community Service Department

• Publishing service, releasing output of books and journals as media and means to present the researhers.
• Information service, providing information service on ASEAN development to its community and international forum about ASEAN programs through seminars, discussions, symposiums an others.
• Public Opinion, introduction ASEAN and its modern visions and missions to all walks of life especially in lower to higher education by directly interacting through simulation and dialogue.
